Hi Piers

It is just I am aware of the amount of research that must go into each publication, and the 1980s is a whole new can of worms. And so much technology!

Brilliant news. I'll probably aim to play in 6mm and 20mm. I'd be interested to have an idea of the nations that will have lists as I can imagine there will be quite a few!

Yep it's a concern and why we won't be scheduling a release date until we have done some tests.

There is alot of research to do, but much done already. We are also lucky to have some very willing volunteers with us contributing.

I´ll be collecting some British, Chilean & Argentineans forces for some "what if" scenarios in mainland Argentina in 1982.
And of course, some of the infantry night combats in the Malvinas/falklands are very intersting to play.

I know the odds are against me but is there any chance of a Swedish army list?

Not in this coming book but maybe further down the line in the far future?

As Yekke about swedes, I hope to see rules for french. Maybe not in the first book but possibly later.
Usually french is not or partially covered in other Cold War wargames (yes I'm biased I'm french...)

Keep your good work guys, Battlegroup is amazing !

Time to reactivate my Dutch, backdate them slightly, harass Shaun for the much needed YP-408's, and look at doing some German Territorial Panzer units like in THE book.

1983 is a good cut off. I served on Chieftain and Challenger and in 1983 IFCS was introduced - way more technical so I am happy to have an earlier time period setting.

If we could bring it forward a little bit too, say, 1977 that would great, so we can have feasible match-ups of early T-72's / older kit such as T-55's v Chieftans / Centurions. I say that in anticipation that there may not be sufficient time / money to do other phases of the Cold War in the near / medium future. 1977 - 1983 would be a really cool range. Alternatively, if it stays with 1980-1983, perhaps stats / data could be included for older weaponry that was still present in second echelon formations / satellite armies that theoretically could have been engaged in other theatres?

Got to have some M48Gs, remember stood in a forest having a brew with a QDG mate during a down period when a Bn of them trundled past, cannot remember who they belonged to, we just called them the Herman Goering Bierfest Bn!

Thiswould be off some intrest but not necessarily a priority. I already have a somewhat similar set of rules in Sabre Squadron. WW2 supplements are therefore more of a priority but I will take a look when NORTHAG is published, Maybe they could be expanded to other modrn priods eg Arab Israli, India -Pakistan, the two Gulf Wars tc
